3 Optical Quartz Glass With Plasma Technology Project

Background And Meaning of This Project

       As the rapid development of electronic industry, scientific material research, semiconductor material, semiconductor art, electronic equipment, chemistry, metallurgical industry, aviation and space flight, space technology, optical communication, mechanical process and environment protection, the urgent demand of high-tech quartz glass is becoming greater and greater. The current process of high-quality quartz glass is basically plasma technology.

         This technology will actively promote the development of silicon electron and quartz glass, such as electronic quartz glass for semiconductor, laboratory equipment, quartz glass for optical communication, and optical equipment for special use (including the quartz material for space technology), and will play a guiding role.

Market Forecast

        New Material Web predicts that quartz glass will grow by 30% per year. The price of quartz glass and quartz equipment in China will reach 400-50millionRMB in 2005, while the price of quartz glass demand will be 1000-1200millionRMB in Taiwan, and 600-800million in South Korea, and 1500million in Japan. Because the quality of our quartz glass cannot meet the requirement of electronic industry, optical communication, and optical equipment, we still need to import a lot from abroad. Therefore, the realization of industrialization of this project will bring great economic profit and earn great market.

Investment Budget, Scale, and the Construction Period

       The budget of this project is 15 million RMB, which will be used for workshop construction, equipment purchase and technology research and development.

       It will take 18 months to construct. After that, the yearly output of plasma quartz glass will be about 200 ton.

Economic Profit

       This project will realize the gross sale of 22million RMB, with the tax of 7.08million RMB, and foreign exchange of 500thousand $.
