5Semiconductor And Solar Energy Material Made of Quartz Crucible Project

Background And Meaning of This Project

Quartz crucible for semiconductor is the main container for producing monocrystalline silicon. During the process of producing monocrystalline silicon, quartz crucible is used as the carrier to make monocrystalline silicon through melting liquid. This monocrystalline silicon is called silicon ingot, the primary material for electronic wick.

       As the rapid development of integrated circuit and generating electricity through solar energy in China, the requirement of the diameter of monocrystalline silicon and the demand of the production is becoming greater and greater. Therefore, the requirement of the size, norms, type, number of quartz crucible changes tremendously. In order to keep the pace with those changes, this project is based on the advantages of Donghai’s quartz to develop quartz crucible.

Market Forecast

       In recent years, as the rapid development of integrated circuit and generating electricity through solar energy in China, the demand for quartz crucible increases. As the carrier of melting high-purity silicon, quartz crucible is the ideal container. However, during the process of cooling, it can only be used once, for the different coefficient expansion. Therefore, the consumption of it is very big. Our country’s present production of it is about 200million, and the size of that is small, while the yearly domestic demand of it is 400-500million. And this number grows by 20% every year. As the production cannot meet the demand, we can only import it at high price.

Investment Budget, Scale, and the Construction Period

       The budget of this project is 60 million RMB, including 10million as circulating fund, and 50million as construction fund, which will be used for workshop construction, equipment purchase and technology research and development.

       It will take two years to construct. After that, the yearly output of quartz crucible will be about 300million.

Economic Profit

       This project will realize the gross sale of 300million RMB, with the tax of 95.4million RMB, and foreign exchange of 7million$.
