       Our semiconductor industry has a great demand for super-pure silicon grit. Under such positive influence, the Pacific Quartz Company and Nanjing University, developed super-pure quartz grit (impurity under 20ppm) with unique craft and technology, which stems from the carry out of Jiangsu Province High-tech Research Project’s “ Research on Distribution and Remove of Quartz’s Impurity”. The Pacific Company took this opportunity establishing super-pure quartz grit quality standards system and technology development terrace in China, promoting the value of quartz in the largest scale. Market Forecast

       As the rapid development of our country’s electronic and IT industries, the demand for quartz glass becomes bigger and bigger, and accordingly, the demand for super-pure quartz grit grows year by year. China’s Construction and Industry Glass Association predicts in August 2004 that only integrated circuit producing will need 4820ton super-pure quartz grit in 2005, and it will be 12050ton in 2006. At the same time, the demand for it in other fields is growing, too. For a long time, China has relied on the imported technology on manufacturing super-pure quartz grit, which costs almost 0.1 billion every year. Therefore, the carry out of this project will earn a big market and profits.

Investment Budget, Scale, and the Construction Period

       The budget of this project is 78 million RMB, which will be used for workshop construction, equipment purchase and technology research.

       It will take 22 months to construct. After that, the yearly output of super-pure quartz grit will be 9000ton.

Economic Profit

       This project will realize the gross sale of 250million RMB, with the tax of 50million RMB.
