The core technique equipment of tungsten molybdenum pot studied by this project will improve the situation of producing quartz glass tubes with large caliber in ordinary technique and the whole technique equipment level in national quartz glass industry. One-step continual production of quartz glass with huge large caliber can solve key technology in producing high quality quartz tube with huge caliber for years, which is very creative and advanced.

This project is one of provincial projects of tackling key problem in science and technology. After the project is carried out, the national level of making and equipping in quartz glass industry can be wholly improved. That producing a series of new products of quartz glass tubes with huge large caliber can fill in the blank field in national industry, satisfy the market share of requirement for quartz glass tubes with large caliber in national semiconductor industry, break through the international monopoly in the technology and production market, overcome the situation of being controlled, and gradually achieve to replace import.
