21. The Project of Industrialization for Producing 1,500,000 HID Headlights for Automobiles

1. Background and Significance of the Project

The photic products of HID headlights for automobiles adopting quartz tubes filtering ultraviolet as bulbs are a new generation of productions combining high technology of high efficiency, energy saving, and new materials. HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlights for automobiles adopt electrode to discharge, which can lead to lighting by medium gas, sequentially the light of HID can reach a new grade. The sun light temperature is 6000K, while light temperature of HID headlights for automobiles is 4300-6500K, with a perfect hue. Compared with traditional haloid lights, HID headlights for automobiles is twice the brightness of tungsten filament light with the same power, three times the lighting efficiency of haloid tungsten light, saving 50% electricity power, three times the lighting distance of ordinary haloid lights, and have a wider over-extensive angle field of vision. This project makes full use of advantages of local processing of quartz materials, which can play a pushing role in the development of local silicon resources industry.

2. Market Analysis

On the basis of annual output of 4,500,000 automobiles, the requirement will be 2,250,000 sets if 50% of automobiles use such products; if 100% can use, more than 4,500,000 sets are needed; if traditional lights in the formal market can be renewed, the requirement can be much more. Therefore, this project has a vast potential market.

3. Assessment of Project Investments, Scale and Period of Project Constructions

The total investment of the project reaches 100,000,000 yuan, of which 55,732,500 yuan are for equipment investment, 8283500 yuan for land construction and engineering alteration, 3000000 yuan for newly expropriated 30 mu lands, and 32984000 yuan for productive flowing funds.

The period of project constructions will last 2 years. The production scale can reach 1500,000 sets per year HID headlights for automobiles after the completion of the project.
