36.Project of High Quality Thick Quartz Glass Pipe for Chlorination Reactor in High Temperature

1.    Background and Significance of the Project

Because of the restriction of equipments and techniques, the domestically made quartz glass pipes, which have differences in thickness, lots of mistakes, low quality, aren’t able to fulfill the specific request of chemistry industry. So the majority of chemical industry of China especially those which use chlorination reactor in high temperature of exact chemistry mainly use thick quartz glass pipes of high quality, hence afford large costs and sell on high prices. On adoption this project, the techniques of producing high quality thick quartz pipes can be improved as a whole. If huge quantity producing can be achieved, the demands of domestic chemistry industry especially exact chemistry industry for high quality thick pipes, and import products can be replaced gradually.

2.    Market Analysis

The present price of high quality thick quartz glass pipes is 300 thousand yuan per ton, and it is 150 thousand yuan lower than thick pipes of the same kind imported from GE corporation, U.S.A, with the price of 450 thousand yuan per ton. As a result, it has good market future.

3.    Investment Assessment of the Project, Scope and Duration of the Construction

Total investment is 25 million yuan, which is going to spent mainly on workshop construction, equipments purchasing and technology development and so on.

Duration of construction is 15 months, after which the producing capability of 40ton high quality thick quartz glass pipes for chlorination reactors in high temperature per year is available.

4. Analysis of the Profit

It is forecasted that the sails revenue per year is 12 million yuan with a interest and tax of 3.2 million yuan.

 The project can be completed by means of joint venture, cooperation of Chinese and foreign enterprise as well as foreign investment only.
