40.Project of Producing 20 million H7 Automobile-used Lamps Annually

1.    Background and significance of the Project

The H series automobile-used lamps are very important parts for matching and repairs of automobiles, the levels and qualities of products directly influence the security of automobiles and life safety of people. After China’s entering of WTO, electric lighting industry also faces the hard competition from market and technology from home and foreign markets. Electric lighting industry especially the H series lamps for automobiles, compared with great automobile countries in the world, has large gap in developing ability, products quality and producing.

2.    Market Analysis

It is forecasted that, among the electric lighting products exported from our country, the H series lamps for automobiles will reach above 60%. On the international market, the consume amount of automobile lamps in developed countries increases continuously, among which expenditure in U.S.A is 6 billion U.S dollars per year. And it is forecasted to increase to 8 billion dollars in 2005, with about 3 billion dollars for imported automobile lamps. The import increase of west European areas  is more than 10% every year. Automobile lamps expenditure is forecasted to be about 7 billion dollars in 2005. So the market is very huge.

3.    Investment Assessment of the Project, Scope and duration of the Construction.

Total investment is 12 million yuan, which is mainly spent for workshop constructions, equipment purchasing and technology development and so on..

Duration of the construction is 1 year, after which a producing capability of 20 million H7 automobile lamps per year will be achieved.

 4. Analysis of the Profit

It is forecasted that the sails revenue per year is 12 million yuan with a

interest and tax of 4 million yuan.

5.Means of Cooperation

The project can be completed by means of joint venture, cooperation of Chinese and foreign enterprise as well as foreign investment only.
