46. Project of Producing 8 Million Cold Cathode Ultraviolet Radiation Anti-bacterial Lamps

1.    Background and Significance of the Project

Cold cathode anti-bacterial lamps is a kind of lamps without filament which use electrode to discharge to encourage Hg steam to set off ultraviolet radiation with waves of 253.7 nm in order to sterilize. Its waves is between 200-300nm, which has great execution to animalcule. It can execute bugs like alvine bacilli, aflatoxin and HbsAg in a short time.

2.    Market Analysis

Cold cathode ultraviolet radiation anti-bacterial lamps with low power, as convenient sterilizing lamps, is developing with the development of people’s living condition and products for human’s sanitation and health, and have a very broad future. The domestic demand for it is 300 million per year, increasing at a rate  of 20%-30% annually. It is forecasted by someone in this business that, the total demand for it in 2004 all over the world is over 3 billion, increasing at a speed of tens. Besides, countries in Europe, mid-east and southeast Asia also have large demand.

3 Investment Assessment of the Project, Scope and Duration of the Construction

Total investment is 21.89 million yuan, including 18.89 million yuan for fixed asset, and 3 million yuan for circulating fond.

Duration of the construction is 3 year, after which a producing capability of 8 million cold cathode ultraviolet radiation anti-bacterial lamps will be achieved.

4. Analysis of the Profit         

It is forecasted that the sails revenue per year is 40 million yuan with a

interest and tax of 157 million yuan.

5.Means of Cooperation

The project can be completed by means of joint venture, cooperation of Chinese and foreign enterprise as well as foreign investment only.
